This year Pacific Fair is taking a new approach to Mother’s Day by nominating quirky gift ideas that are sure to surprise mum on her special day in May.

From buying on a budget to a little bit of luxury, Gold Coast’s premier shopping destination has got it covered with gift ideas ranging from Groove Accessories gumboots to Oroton cat and dog key charms, 3D family portraits at 3D Crystal to L’Occitane fragrance gel and Giant Chemist champagne bubble baths.

They also provide new takes on the more traditional gifts such as the Darrell Lea Mum’s Bag or a stylish Cotton On pashmina to replace the old faithful ‘scarf’ present.

Pacific Fair retail marketing manager Kate Cox said this year the centre wanted to showcase some of the more quirky gifts on offer.

“Every mum is different and while many enjoy unwrapping the traditional hand cream or scarf, there are many who hope to receive a more unconventional gift,” Ms Cox said.

“This year we wanted to steer clear of the run of the mill suggestions and showcase some great ideas across a broad price range. With over 300 shops to choose from, this proved to be a very easy task.”

For those whose purse strings are pulled extra tight this month or perhaps they want to share in the fun with their mum, this week Pacific Fair is offering a $2,000 giveaway for one lucky Mother and her daughter.

Log onto the Pacific Fair website to be in the running for the ‘Indulgent Day At Pacific Fair’, a never to forget experience where both mother and daughter will be pampered with all the opulence Gold Coast’s favourite shopping centre has to offer.

Included in the day of luxurious extravagance is a signature facial for both mother and daughter at Pure Indulgence, haircut and makeover from FIX Hair Beauty Solutions, two $500 gift vouchers for Pacific Fair and a session each with the centre’s resident expert on fashion – stylist Susie McWatt-Forbes.

“The ‘Indulgent Day At Pacific Fair’ is not only aimed at providing deserving mothers with a day of luxury, but also allowing them to share the moment with someone they care about,” Ms Cox said.

“That is why we have put together an amazing day of fashion and beauty that will be sure to have both mother and daughter looking and feeling beautiful.”
