Krispy Kreme
Sunday, June 1st, 2008PACIFIC FAIR – HOME TO GOLD COAST’S FIRST KRISPY KREME
Pacific Fair shoppers will be smacking their lips with the news that Gold Coast’s first Krispy Kreme outlet will be opening in centre within a month.
Krispy Kreme Pacific Fair will retail all 15 signature doughnuts, cooked fresh daily and issued “birth certificates” to manage freshness in store, as well as hand crafted espresso coffee from expert baristas, Ice Kreme, milkshakes and Spiders.
Queensland Marketing Manager Jay Baikie said a store at Pacific Fair had been on the cards since opening the Queensland kitchen at Logan in mid March.
“To be opening this store – in fact, our 50th store for Australia and third for Queensland – in what is clearly the nation’s tourism Mecca and such a highly entrepreneurial environment, is a fantastic milestone for Krispy Kreme Australia,” Mr Baikie said.
Pacific Fair Retail Marketing Manager Kate Cox said the hype was already building with people inquiring about when the iconic doughnut store would be opening its doors.
“Krispy Kreme doughnuts are one of the most talked about treats in today’s society with people going as far as establishing online fan groups to show their devotion to the brand,” Ms Cox said.
“There are the loyal followers who have tasted them and love them, then you have those who have only ever heard about the doughnuts and are very eager to get in and buy a box of their famous Original Glazed variety.
“I can’t remember ever seeing so much excitement surrounding the opening of a food retailer. The excitement is definitely catching on and we at Pacific Fair are not immune,” she said.
